As Autumn begins to set in I thought I would extend Summer a little, (if only in my mind) by painting a few lush scenes. Very soon the landscape will change from shades of green to vivid shades of gold and then I'll be inspired to change the colors on my palette. In the meantime, we can enjoy what's left of the Summer landscape.
I've neglected my blog for some time now and so I'm posting some new works that have been placed on my website but never quite made it to my blog. Some of these have already been sold but you can click here to view paintings currently available. As always, feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Thanks!
I've been working on an oil painting for a number of days and I thought I would take a break and paint a watercolor. I came across a photo I had taken of this bright, translucent sky and I knew that watercolor would be the perfect medium for this work.
The extreme warm weather has driven me to paint a nice, warm Summer scene. And since willows and water are two of my favorite things to paint, I've made them part of this painting.
