"AUTUMN SPLENDOR"

Autumn trees show their colors in a variety of ways - some change from Summer's green into many shades of one color, and others transform into a coat of many colors such as this one. It has everything from the brightest yellow to the deepest reds, so elegant and beautiful.

"SOL II"

This new Limited Edition Giclee is reproduced from my series of four etchings titled "Genesis" which depict the elements (Sun, Sea, Earth & Wind). I have often been asked if I would ever release this series of original etchings as reproductions and "Sol" seems to be a favorite of this series.

So in response I have released "Sol II" in two image sizes:

5 x 7 and 8 x 10 inches (fits a standard size frame).

This bucolic scene is taken from time I spent at a friend's place at Hawk Mountain in PA. Hawk Mountain Sanctuary is one of the best places in the northeastern United States to watch the annual hawk migration while also having the opportunity to take in the Autumn display of color. This painting portrays a peaceful pond as the sun was setting, casting a golden glow on this 60 acre piece of heaven.

It's been a hot Summer so I thought a snow scene would be nice to send. Although I haven't sent a new image in awhile, I have been busy producing new limited edition Giclees of a couple of my paintings and I will be posting them to my website in the days to come. In the evening when the sun is low on the horizon, everything takes on a golden-copper hue. This lone tree seemed to glow, basking in the evening sun. Such a warm & beautiful sight.

This set of etchings are part of my personal collection from a sold out edition I had created a number of years ago. The seasons have always been a favorite subject of artists and collectors alike and this was a well-received edition that sold out very quickly. "HEAVY SKY"

This painting conveys the drama created when dark clouds hang over a bright horizon. This is one of the many new paintings I will be exhibiting at my upcoming shows.

Also . . .

I am working on releasing some new limited editions, and I have a number of images I'm considering but I'm still in the choosing stage. Obviously it's not possible to reproduce every painting, and it is often difficult for an artist to decide which painting is a good candidate for a limited edition. So if one of my paintings speaks to you more than the others, I would be interested in knowing if you have a favorite. I'm always interested in knowing why a particular piece draws more attention than others I've created. Of course, I know it's a matter of personal preference and taste, so I always appreciate your continued interest in my work, whether it's one piece or many!

"HAWK MOUNTAIN RETREAT"

Located along the Appalachian Flyway in east-central Pennsylvania, Hawk Mountain Sanctuary is one of the best places in the northeastern United States to watch the annual hawk migration in the Fall. A couple of my dear friends invited me to their beautiful property along the mountain, so I recently had an opportunity to get away and enjoy nature at its best. This is a bucolic scene from one of the many pictures taken during my visit. Although I painted this in honor of my friend's birthday, it is such a peaceful place I thought I would share it with you.

"DAY'S END (STUDY)"

This is a study for a larger painting I'm working on. The inspiration comes from one of the many sunset photos I've taken on my many trips to the Florida Keys. This particular scene is at Mallory Square in Key West. If you've ever been there as the sun sets, you know what a magical experience it is.

"LEMON ON LIME"

I love landscapes but I also have an
affinity for still life paintings.
This is a visually simple piece but I liked the
lemon wedge against the white bisque dish
and lime tablecloth. I will proably always
use "Mother Nature" as my prime
source of inspiration, but every now and
then I like to paint other subjects that I
find to be every bit as interesting and
challenging. As an artist, I find there are
so many things I'd love to paint,
yet so little time. I hope you enjoy the
first still life of my Smalll Painting Series.

Weeping Willows draped over water make a
beautiful scene and it is one of my favorite
things to paint. In this painting the
willows are in the shadows while the
bright sun backlights them and
illuminates the distant trees.

I Love painting atmospheric scenes such as this one. The time is November when the last leaves are lingering on some trees and the unusual warmth of the day creates a hazy mist. The trees are the focal point with a light fog off in the distance.
